LuAnn is an Austin, Texas-based independent PR strategist and business writer. She heads up WordCove Content + Community, specializing in PR strategy and content development for business owners and CEOs including attorneys, physicians and consultants. She ghost wrote the book Cut Your Tax in 2010 and Preserve Your Legacy (New Year Publishing) and is a contributor to the upcoming book Lessons From the Farm by Gregory Bloom.

LuAnn considers herself a consummate PR professional (with 15 years of experience at agencies and in non-profit, technology and healthcare PR), but she’s perhaps best known for questioning traditional public relations tactics and helping non-PR entrepreneurs unleash their inner publicist. She was featured in Mashable’s “The Future of Public Relations and Social Media” and was named one of “100 PR People Worth Following on Twitter” by Conversation Agent. She is a member of  the Austin chapter of Association for Women in Communications and has served as a speaker for several Austin-area organizations and events including BlogathonATX, Austin Content Marketing Tweetup, GetSmart Austin, and Texas State University’s PRSSA and Mass Communications Week.

LuAnn received her Bachelor of Journalism with a major in public relations from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.
